EPISODE 4
The command didn’t come.
That was the command.
Jack stood still.
Waiting.
Listening.
Nothing.
And that nothing…
Was wrong.
Then—
A whisper.
Not outside.
Inside.
“Turn.”
He turned.
No delay.
No control.
The street stretched ahead—dark, empty, watching.
Each step felt familiar.
Like a path already walked.
Again.
And again.
“For us.”
Jack clenched his jaw.
“What do you want?”
A pause.
Then—
“You remember.”
A flash.
Sharp.
Clear.
A woman running.
Footsteps echoing.
Breath breaking.
She looked back—
At him.
At Jack.
“No…”
But his feet kept moving.
Faster now.
Same turns.
Same road.
Like a memory playing on repeat.
“You made me do this.”
“No.”
A cold reply.
“I revealed you.”
Jack stopped.
For a second—
He was back.
Breathing.
Thinking.
This place…
A dead end.
And there—
She stood.
The same woman.
Frozen.
Terrified.
“This isn’t real.”
“It is now.”
His hand moved.
Slowly.
Into his coat.
“No… stop…”
Too late.
Cold metal.
A blade.
Her eyes widened.
“Please…”
That word—
Hit something deep.
Something human.
The world cracked.
Jack screamed.
This time—
It came out.
Loud.
Real.
His hand shook.
The blade slipped.
“This isn’t me!”
Silence.
Then—
“Prove it.”
Everything blurred.
Forward.
Back.
Control.
Chaos.
“Please don’t…”
A choice.
Right there.
Right then.
His grip loosened.
The knife fell.
A sharp sound—
Echoing.
Silence followed.
Heavy.
Different.
For the first time—
He won.
Jack stepped back.
Breathing hard.
“I’m not yours.”
No reply.
No laughter.
Just silence.
And then—
Something shifted.
The shadows moved.
Wrong.
Unnatural.
Watching.
Waiting.
Then—
A voice.
Deeper.
Stronger.
Everywhere.
“You were not supposed to resist.”
Jack froze.
This wasn’t the same.
This was worse.
Because now—
It wasn’t just one.
And Jack…
Was never the only vessel.
