The Other Elias : Only One May Pass | Psychological

THE OTHER ELIAS

EPISODE 21

ONLY ONE MAY PASS

Silence.

The warm light continued to spill through the half-open wooden door.

Nobody moved.

Elias stared into the brightness.

The familiar voice spoke again.

“I’ve been waiting.”

It was calm.

Neither friendly nor threatening.

Simply certain.

The older Elias remained still.

“You should go,” he said quietly.

Elias frowned.

“You know that voice.”

“Yes.”

“Who is it?”

The older Elias looked toward the doorway.

“Someone who made the same journey.”

Elias took one careful step forward.

The light grew brighter.

Beyond the doorway was not another room.

It was a long stone hallway.

Sunlight filtered through a ceiling of clear glass.

The place felt peaceful.

Almost impossible after everything he had seen.

At the end of the hallway stood a single figure.

A man.

His face was hidden by the light behind him.

He did not move.

He simply waited.

Elias looked back.

The older Elias had not followed.

“Aren’t you coming?”

“No.”

“Why?”

“This path belongs to you.”

Elias hesitated.

“But the voice said only one of us can continue.”

The older Elias nodded once.

“That’s true.”

A quiet breeze drifted through the hallway.

For the first time since entering the strange world…

It carried the scent of fresh rain.

The man at the far end finally spoke.

“You already know the first lesson.”

Elias answered carefully.

“Truth.”

The man nodded.

“And now comes the second.”

He raised one hand.

Between them appeared three identical doors.

Each was made of polished wood.

Each had the same brass handle.

Each looked completely ordinary.

Above them appeared a sentence.

EVERY PATH REQUIRES TRUST.

Elias studied the doors.

There were no markings.

No clues.

“They all look the same.”

“They are meant to.”

“Which one is correct?”

The figure answered without hesitation.

“The one you choose.”

Elias looked frustrated.

“So there isn’t a right answer?”

“There is.”

“Then tell me.”

“I cannot.”

The hallway became quiet again.

Elias closed his eyes.

He remembered the notebook.

Protect the choices that created your memories.

He slowly opened his eyes.

Instead of searching for signs…

He listened.

The hallway was almost silent.

Almost.

From behind the middle door…

He heard something.

Not voices.

Not footsteps.

A heartbeat.

Slow.

Steady.

Just like his own.

He walked toward it.

The older Elias watched from the doorway.

“You’ve stopped looking for certainty,” he said.

Elias rested his hand on the middle handle.

“I’m looking for what feels honest.”

The older Elias smiled.

“That’s progress.”

Elias opened the door.

There was no trap.

No monster.

Only another quiet room.

Its walls were lined with shelves.

Hundreds of small glass bottles rested inside them.

Each bottle held a tiny silver light.

Floating gently.

The mysterious man entered behind him.

“Welcome,” he said.

“The Archive of Choices.”

Elias looked around in amazement.

“What are these?”

“They are moments.”

“Memories?”

“Not exactly.”

The man picked up one bottle.

Inside, the silver light shimmered softly.

“This is a decision.”

“What kind of decision?”

“One that changed someone’s life.”

Elias stared at the endless shelves.

“There are thousands.”

“There are millions.”

The man carefully returned the bottle.

“Every meaningful choice leaves an echo.”

Elias slowly walked between the shelves.

Each bottle carried a small handwritten label.

Some read:

Forgiveness.

Courage.

Patience.

Others contained only dates.

Or names.

One bottle had no label at all.

Its silver light pulsed brighter than the others.

Elias reached toward it.

Before he could touch the glass…

The man gently stopped him.

“Not yet.”

“Why?”

“Some choices cannot be understood before their time.”

Elias lowered his hand.

The room remained peaceful.

No fear.

No danger.

Only quiet reflection.

Then…

A sharp crack echoed somewhere above.

One bottle trembled.

Then another.

Hairline fractures spread across the ceiling.

The older Elias looked upward.

His expression changed.

“They found us.”

The mysterious man became serious.

“They arrived sooner than expected.”

Elias felt the room grow colder.

The silver lights inside the bottles flickered together.

One after another.

Until every shelf glowed at once.

Then…

A deep voice echoed through the Archive.

Not angry.

Not loud.

But impossibly ancient.

“The echoes have been disturbed.”

Every bottle became perfectly still.

The mysterious man slowly turned toward Elias.

“You must leave.”

“What is that?”

He answered with unusual urgency.

“The Keeper has awakened.”

The cracks across the ceiling widened.

Tiny fragments of white stone drifted silently downward.

Far above…

Something enormous moved behind the light.

Elias could not see its shape.

Only its shadow.

Watching.

Waiting.

The older Elias stepped beside him.

“This is where trust becomes action.”

A new doorway slowly formed at the far end of the Archive.

It shimmered with soft silver light.

The mysterious man pointed toward it.

“Go.”

Elias hesitated for only a second.

Then he ran toward the new doorway.

Behind him…

The ancient voice spoke once more.

This time…

It said his name.

“Elias.”

He stopped.

Only for a heartbeat.

Then the silver doorway began to close.

TO BE CONTINUED…
