EPISODE 6
Morning light filled the house gently, washing away the strange tension that had surrounded Elizabeth for days.
At least, that was how it appeared from the outside.
She had started sleeping less. Not because of nightmares, but because waking up felt easier than dreaming. Dreams had become difficult to remember clearly. Every morning, fragments disappeared the moment she tried to focus on them.
Still, life continued normally.
She answered messages. Ate meals. Spoke with people the same way she always had.
And for a while, that seemed enough.
Until small mistakes began to happen.
One afternoon, Elizabeth visited a nearby café she had gone to for years. The owner greeted her warmly, but for a brief second, she failed to recognize his face.
The feeling vanished almost immediately.
She smiled politely and continued the conversation as if nothing had happened.
But deep inside, something felt disturbed by the delay.
Later that evening, she returned home carrying a paper bag of groceries. As she placed everything on the kitchen counter, she noticed something strange.
The clock on the wall had stopped.
11:14 PM.
She stared at it for several seconds before realizing the rest of the house was still functioning normally. Lights worked. Her phone worked.
Only the clock had frozen.
Without thinking too much about it, she removed the battery and replaced it with a new one.
The second hand moved again instantly.
Tick.
Tick.
Tick.
Elizabeth looked away.
But the sound continued to bother her long after she left the kitchen.
That night, rain covered the windows softly while she sat alone reading.
For the first time in days, her mind felt calm.
No strange thoughts.
No unnatural silence.
Just the sound of rain and pages turning.
Then her phone vibrated.
A new message appeared from an unknown number.
Have you noticed the mirrors in your house changing?
Her breathing slowed.
She stared at the message carefully, waiting for another one to appear.
Nothing came.
No name.
No explanation.
Only that single sentence.
Elizabeth checked the number twice before replying.
Who is this?
The message failed to send. No signal.
At the exact same moment, the lights flickered once.
Then again.
The room darkened briefly before returning to normal.
Her eyes lifted slowly toward the hallway outside the living room.
At the far end of the hall she could see the mirror.
From where she sat, the reflection looked completely still.
But something about it felt wrong.
Not dangerous.
Not violent.
Just… attentive.
As if someone behind the glass had noticed her noticing it.
Elizabeth stood up carefully and walked toward the hallway.
Each step felt heavier than it should have.
The rain outside grew louder.
When she finally stopped in front of the mirror, her reflection stared back exactly as expected.
Same posture.
Same expression.
Same silence.
Then her phone vibrated again.
A second message appeared.
Do not let it learn your routines.
The lights went out immediately after
