Queen Elizabeth’s Dark Choice

EPISODE 3

The door still hadn’t opened.

Queen Elizabeth II stood in silence, her hand resting against the cold surface. Her breathing was steady, but something inside her had begun to shift.

The stillness around her felt unnatural.

As if the entire world was waiting for her decision.

“Give up what you love the most…”

The words echoed again.

Not from outside.

From within.

Elizabeth slowly pulled her hand away.

For the first time… she hesitated.

What did she truly love?

Power?

Not yet.

The crown?

She hadn’t even worn it.

The world?

It was not hers to claim.

Then what was it?

Her thoughts drifted away from thrones and kingdoms… toward something far more personal.

A memory.

A presence.

A reflection of herself.

She turned her gaze toward the mirror inside the room.

At first, everything seemed normal.

Then—

it smiled.

Elizabeth did not.

Her heart skipped a beat.

The room grew colder.

“You’ve come this far…” a voice whispered.

Soft.

But deep.

“…and yet you still do not understand.”

Elizabeth did not step back.

Not this time.

“What do I have to give?” she asked calmly.

Silence.

Then—

“You.”

The word did not echo.

It settled.

Heavy.

Final.

Elizabeth’s eyes narrowed slightly.

“You don’t want what you have…” the voice continued.

“You want what you are.”

The reflection slowly stepped forward—

but the glass did not break.

Because it was never trapped.

It was waiting.

“You want control…”

A pause.

“You want everything…”

Another step.

“And everything… comes with a price.”

Elizabeth’s breathing slowed.

Fear was still there.

But it no longer stopped her.

It was shaping her.

“What happens if I refuse?” she asked.

For the first time—

the reflection did not smile.

“Then you wake up…”

A pause.

“…and live a normal life.”

Silence filled the room.

Normal.

Safe.

Forgettable.

Elizabeth closed her eyes for a moment.

Then opened them again.

This time—

without hesitation.

“I accept.”

The room did not shake.

No sound.

No light.

Just silence.

And then—

the mirror turned black.

Completely.

For a few seconds, nothing moved.

Then slowly—

a figure appeared again.

Standing still.

Watching.

It was Elizabeth.

But not the same.

Because this time—

she was the one smiling.
Did Elizabeth gain control…

or lose herself completely?

And if the reflection is now free…

then who is standing in front of the mirror?
